Attention all adventurous weavers…
Who among you likes a little whimsy and is ready to let the willow speak to you?
Who comes back from every hike or neighborhood walk with new natural goodies in their pockets? (a feather…cool rock…you know!)
If this is you…come make a wild weave treasure catcher. We’ll build our foundations using the random weave technique with rehydrated willow rods. Then it’s time to play. If you want to stick with ONLY locally farmed and forage materials we’ll have vines, bark, cedar cones, cordage making supplies, and other fun things to play with. If you want to branch out to other materials, I have half a dozen different natural twines and some surprises to play with.
*Dried flowers, feathers, airplants, etc in photos are for demonstration.
Every wild weave will be different so let your imagination go wild and tell your inner critic to be quiet!
The fun doesn’t end when you leave class…you now have a home for all your wild goodies. Decorate with flowers, seedpods, feathers, mementos - whatever makes you happy. Even change them up with the season!
I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
The class will be held over lunch, please plan to bring a sack lunch and/or purchase food at the 21 Acres Farm Market.
The class maximum is 10 students. Minimum age is 18 for this workshop.
