One woman’s weed is another woman’s basket!

  • Dandelion - check

  • Bindweed - check

  • Yellow flag iris - check

  • Non-native cattails - check

Some plants are overachievers and find themselves on our list of “weeds” or “invasives”. They sprout from cracks, they send seeds far and wide, they bully other plants, and some aren’t even from here. But…they’re here so let’s make the most of them and weave a basket!

Together we will weave a twined and plaited basket around a 6 x 6 square form and finish with a folded rim. The perfect size for giving a home to little treasures around the house.

Special Note: this basket includes yellow flag iris which is considered poisonous if consumed by animals.

Class age minimum is 14 with a paid adult.

Class is scheduled until 6pm but we may finish a bit early.
