FULL - Winter Color Catalan Tray @ 21 Acres

  • 21 Acres 13701 Northeast 171st Street Woodinville, WA, 98072 United States (map)

Workshop is full. Come celebrate our native Cornus sericea (red-twig or red osier dogwood) and native Salix species (willow) at their peak winter color and learn a new weaving technique - using tension and a simple weave. We’ll work with dried, semi-dry and fresh materials to create a one-of-kind celebration of winter color that leverages the virtues of each species involved. All materials are locally and sustainably harvested by hand.

We’ll make a hoop with long slender flexible willow rods, create a framework with ribs and weave fresh stems of dogwood and willow. Your finished tray will be approximately 12 inches across.

Class size maximum: 12 students

Minimum age: 14 years old

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
