Play with Plants Woven Vessel - Exclusive Workshop for the Northshore Garden Club

$35.00

Date: Monday, Feb 3rd

Time: 10am to 1:30pm

Location: Field and Forest Crafts Classroom - 12535 15th Ave NE

Description: I created this workshop because I wanted a beginner project that let students get to know many different locally available plants. From soft fibers like daylily and Siberian iris to willow and cedar bark - all gathered locally and sustainably. Every vessel is unique because every weaver is unique.

You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for your home - or to give as a gift. We’ll create a simple starburst willow bark bottom and work our way up exploring flexible leaves and stems and use willow, maple and cedar bark for plaited contrast. *Great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.

Class size max: 8 students

Class size minimum: 6 students

Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
