Workshop is full. I created this workshop because I wanted a beginner project that let you get to know as many different locally available plants as I could. From soft fibers like daylily and siberian iris to willow and cedar bark. Every vessel is unique because each student will find a special way to weave it all together.
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for your home - or to give as a gift. We’ll create a simple starburst willow bark bottom and work our way up exploring flexible leaves and stems and use willow, maple and cedar bark for plaited contrast.
All workshop materials have been harvest by hand sustainably and responsibly from here in the Puget Sound.
This workshop is a great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.
Class size max: 8 students
Class size minimum: 6 students by March 10th. If minimum is not reached, students will be notified and provided a full refund.
Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
