Swedish star - yule star - woven rod star - whatever you want to call them…I love them. 36 sticks, twine and patience and you can make them too.
What’s special about this workshop is that we will get to make the most of red twig dogwood’s winter show AND weave with freshly gathered rods from 21 Acres! The first and second year rods on red twig dogwoods are the most vibrant. So by selectively gathering, we’ll be encouraging even more of a glorious display next year.
If you want reinvigorate your red twig dogwood we can discuss that too!
This workshop is for those who are willing to get a bit muddy and scramble in the bushes - rain or shine we will gather on-site.
We will have two sessions to choose from:
Morning Session from 9am to Noon
Afternoon Session from 12:30-3:30pm
We will start our day at the 21 Acres classroom - drop off our things, discuss the project, and then head out onto the farm. We’ll spend about 1 hour harvesting and then head back indoors to warm up and weave.
Minimum Age: 18 (since we will be out on the farm with sharp clippers!)
Minimum registration: 6 by Dec 11th. If the minimum registration is not reach, all students will be notified by email and provided a full refund.
Class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. However, if you want to sell or give your spot to a friend, I’m happy to welcome someone else in your place. Due to the nature of the projects (materials/soaking, etc) and the small class sizes, I’m unable to support refunds or credits.
